Stolkse Boeren Extra Matured wins Third Award in WCCC 2020

Held biannually in March, the prestigious World Championship Cheese Contest® (WCCC) is the world’s premier technical cheese, butter and yogurt competition. 2020 marked the 33rd biennial edition hosted by the Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association. As many as 3,667 cheese, butter, yogurt and dry dairy products were entered in this year’s competition to compete for global recognition. The products are judged in the areas of flavour, body and texture, salt, colour, finish, packaging, and other appropriate attributes.


Stolkse Boeren winner!

Participating Van der Heiden Kaas from Bodegraven (NL) is proud to announce that its Stolkse Boeren has won prizes. “In the Extra Aged category (10+ months) we won the Third Award with our Stolkse Boeren Extra Matured. A real raw milk, Gouda farm cheese from Stolwijk,” Diederik Slieker, sales manager of Van der Heiden Kaas, says. “We are very proud of this result. The Stolkse Boeren 48% Extra Matured has matured for at least 12 months, has a beautiful salt crystal, is easy to cut and a tasty addition to the cocktail board. By winning this prize, our raw milk Stolkse Boeren will become even more known and even more people will be surprised by the special taste.”
